On September 9th, 2023, COYAD(Council of Youth Anti-drug) hosted a CYF (COYAD Youth Forum) on the topic of 'Leading Yourself.' The session started with a questionnaire led by Lydia Lim. Following the questionnaire, the instructor dove into the topic by giving the concept of vision. Participants learned the definition of a vision and how to develop the vision, emphasizing the importance of team visions compared to individual visions.

The instructor then moved on to planning and goals, which are the essential steps toward realizing a vision. SMART goals were introduced, which stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely. Lydia Lim highlighted the importance of SMART goals during the planning process. She explained that planning is a method for achieving goals efficiently, allowing individuals to know what to do.

During the session, participants were introduced to the What, How, When, Who Planning tool, a worthy resource for effective planning. To reinforce their learning, participants engaged in activities applying these concepts to their daily lives. Next, there was a reflection session, which helped the participants to know themselves better.

Following the 'Leading Yourself' segment, the session shifted focus to 'Drug Awareness.' Today's discussion was centered around K2/Spice and Bath Salts. From describing the synthetic drugs, which are made in labs unlike drugs from plants like cocaine and marijuana, she clarified two common types, K2/Spice and bath salts. She alerted the drugs by giving the short-term effects and long-term effects.
